Day Tuesday: On this first day, after agreeing with the whole group on the direction of our agency, we worked together to decide on the colors, the visual style, and especially the agency name. We then started defining the logo design as well as the fictional project given to the client.
Day Wednesday: Despite the time taken by the WebTV and the MMI festival, I still managed to finalize my storyboard, integrating sketches made in Photoshop, ideas, and subtitles to add. I also started selecting some videos to help with the creation of my subtitles while beginning two productions (one of which I did not like the result and therefore deleted).
Day Thursday: Despite the lack of time on this MMI Festival day, I managed in one morning to almost finish my project brief while continuing in parallel the writing of the event concept, which was completed by the end of the day along with the synopsis. I also finished my part of the oral presentation. Since my assigned work was almost done, I chose to help my group, especially the design lead – Juliette VANWALLEGHEM.
Day Friday
Week 2:
Monday → Started the animatic based on the group’s different versions as well as the various subtitles to integrate into the final version. While continuing the script, I also helped with the layout for the mobile version of the Figma mockups.
Tuesday → Continued creating subtitles on After Effects + started a mockup on After Effects with a 3D phone while integrating the Figma mobile homepage design of the event website.
Wednesday → Filmed with Marilys a few scenes for the animatic to make it more visual and natural while finishing the final animatic edit.
Thursday → In the morning, I finished all my ongoing work, including subtitles, animatic, script, and filming preparation. For the promotional video shoot, the whole group spent the entire afternoon on it.
Friday → Started editing the final promotional video while preparing for the oral presentation.
Week 3:
Monday → Started editing the final promotional video based on the previously completed animatic. I reviewed all the shots from last Thursday and selected the best ones. I also added the desired effects (After Effects animations and sound design). I coordinated with the group to obtain a voice-over aligned with the overall vision of the video.
Tuesday → Continued video editing, focusing on color grading of all shots to achieve a consistent visual result. I also adjusted audio tracks to maintain consistent sound levels. After discussion with the audiovisual teacher, I added additional sound effects for immersion. At the end of the day, the group agreed on the production plan for Thursday’s theatrical performance.
Wednesday → Completed the promotional video, which was approved by the teacher, although some final adjustments were still needed. I also discussed the theater performance and materials to bring with the group.
Thursday → Oral presentation with the whole group.
